A Message from our Chairman

I would personally like to thank our supporters for their interest and loyalty in the American Hellenic Council of California. The AHC is a nonpartisan and nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles, created in 1974 to promote peace, stability, human rights, and democracy in southern Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean, and the Aegean with a focus on Greece and Cyprus. Its mission is to provide information to the United States Congress on critical Greek issues and to advocate for the protection and promotion of Greek-American interests and affairs in the global diaspora; to inform and update the American public about relevant concerns and conflicts related to the geographic region and to promote Congressional bills and policies to the United States Congress that support Hellenism.

Thank you to our donors, sponsors, and guests who attended the annual  AHC Gala that took place on January 27, 2024, hosted by Alpha News journalist George Satsidis.  The American Hellenic Council honored three distinguished individuals; Christina Bogdanou of the Caloyeras Center at LMU, Theodore Polychronis,  and Eleftheria Polychronis, for their excellence in their service to Hellenism. The annual gala continues to operate through the generous financial support that we receive from members of our Greek-American community and is grateful to all donors who are committed and continue to support the organization’s mission to advocate for Hellenism and Hellenic interests in Greece, Cyprus, and around the world.
